Class TestDnsAnswerResponse

    • Method Detail

      • nameserver

        public final String nameserver()

        The Amazon Route 53 name server used to respond to the request.

        Returns:
        The Amazon Route 53 name server used to respond to the request.
      • recordName

        public final String recordName()

        The name of the resource record set that you submitted a request for.

        Returns:
        The name of the resource record set that you submitted a request for.
      • recordType

        public final RRType recordType()

        The type of the resource record set that you submitted a request for.

        If the service returns an enum value that is not available in the current SDK version, recordType will return RRType.UNKNOWN_TO_SDK_VERSION. The raw value returned by the service is available from recordTypeAsString().

        Returns:
        The type of the resource record set that you submitted a request for.
        See Also:
        RRType
      • recordTypeAsString

        public final String recordTypeAsString()

        See Also:
        RRType
      • hasRecordData

        public final boolean hasRecordData()
        For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the RecordData property. This DOES NOT check that the value is non-empty (for which, you should check the isEmpty() method on the property). This is useful because the SDK will never return a null collection or map, but you may need to differentiate between the service returning nothing (or null) and the service returning an empty collection or map. For requests, this returns true if a value for the property was specified in the request builder, and false if a value was not specified.
      • recordData

        public final List<String> recordData()

        A list that contains values that Amazon Route 53 returned for this resource record set.

        Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.

        This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the hasRecordData() method.

        Returns:
        A list that contains values that Amazon Route 53 returned for this resource record set.
      • responseCode

        public final String responseCode()

        A code that indicates whether the request is valid or not. The most common response code is NOERROR, meaning that the request is valid. If the response is not valid, Amazon Route 53 returns a response code that describes the error. For a list of possible response codes, see DNS RCODES on the IANA website.

      • protocol

        public final String protocol()

        The protocol that Amazon Route 53 used to respond to the request, either UDP or TCP.

        Returns:
        The protocol that Amazon Route 53 used to respond to the request, either UDP or TCP.
      • toString

        public final String toString()
        Returns a string representation of this object. This is useful for testing and debugging. Sensitive data will be redacted from this string using a placeholder value.
        Overrides:
        toString in class Object
